Tonight, we begin with our friends in the Midwest because so many of them are suffering. At least 27 people have died. Well over half a million Americans, 650,000 people remain without power in this storm. We begin there tonight. Don Teague is in hard-hit Oklahoma City again for us this evening. Don, good evening.

 

Hi, Brian? And have a look at the size of the tree that has crushed 뭉개다 this house you see behind me. Most of the ice has melted here in central Oklahoma which has been a big help for utility crews. Still, the danger from this giant ice storm isn’t over.

 

Three days after the first wave of ice began coating 뒤덮다 the planes and the death toll 사망자수 is still rising. “This is a storm of absolute historic proportions.” In Oklahoma City, a 19-year-old who was 8-months pregnant died of carbon monoxide 일산화탄소 poisoning overnight. She had been using a generator to power this house. Across the region, more than half a million are still without power.
